Alea’s Farm Resilience Program is a transformative initiative focused on empowering the farming community in Bicol to build long-term resilience against natural disasters, especially super typhoons. As a social enterprise based in Bicol, Alea Chocolates recognizes the critical role agriculture plays in the region’s economy and the livelihoods of its people.
Our program is designed to support farm owners, farm leaders, and local farmers through expert-led training, sustainable farming practices, and resource provision. We partner closely with the Department of Agriculture and local organizations like Magel Golden Integrated Farm to deliver hands-on training on soil health, pest management, organic fertilizers, and farming tools. We also focus on strengthening soil against erosion and improving crop yields to ensure long-term farm productivity, stability, and economic resilience.
